PropertyList Editor
In addition, there is a helper tool available to easily create blocklist for the property editor of pCon.ui. You can export a zip file for using as property definition file for the EasternGraphics' Property Service.
The tool can be accessed via the following URL:

The URL of the ZIP file has to be sent to us so it can be set as parameter in the corresponding GatekeeperID configuration on the server.
Facts
- tool works in all all browsers that are up-to-date
- no need for programming / to provide own property service script to work with our PropertyService API - you only host a *.zip file
- simply visually click up what to hide on property editor of articles / article series in your pCon.ui instance
- no change on OFML data needed (as data is only hidden visually)
- affecting changes can be previewed in live view
- changes can be done on different machines / by different persons
- merging of made settings possible
- changes are saved temporarly in browser storage so you can continue your work any time (in same browser)

What happens with the OFML data / What needs to be considered regarding OFML data changes?
With the PropertyList Editor you do not change any data in the OFML catalogs. You only hide visibility of some specs.
When OFML data is updated and there are new properties or choices, by default they will appear. You have to disable them manually if needed.

Basic Usage - Make Changes - Hide / Unhide Properties
Changes can be made either on single article level or on series level - check the icon in proper column on which level you want to make the changes.
- navigate to an article you want to customize the shown properties
- change visible properties by clicking
in editor - all properties marked with
will be hidden - change visible choices by clicking either
- on the » in the editor and or
- in live preview and afterwards in editor
- all choices marked with will be hidden
When you disable the default choice of a property you should generate the iframe source with another (enabled) option activated. Otherwise, the default option is only deactivated (hidden from the list) when another option is selected.
How to get the Zip file
- After you made your choices simply click on the
in the top right corner. - Select “Export”
- choose which catalog you want to export (or select all) and click on EXPORT
- zip file (name: GatekeeperID.zip) will be downloaded
Where to save the Zip File
you should save the zip file to a storage that can be reached online, eg.
- dropbox
- Google Drive
- own file server
not supported cloud services:
- Microsoft OneDrive / Sharepoint (because logging in is needed to get access to folders / files)
Update your Changes:
You can always overwrite this file in case you made changes. The changes are immediately visible in real time. Please be aware that the name has to be the same to work instantly. If you change the name or path to this file, the changes are just activated after the new URL to us and we set it up in your instance.
